Once upon a time, a boring old side table was sitting in a powder room. Then the stars aligned and the table fell in love with some white hi-gloss paint and some tribal print washi tape. But, lucky for the table, the paint, and the tape this weird little love triangle worked out and they lived happily ever after. The End.
So to bring new life into this table, I started with a light sanding and cleaning. Then I gave it a coat of primer, followed by two coats of hi-gloss white paint rolled on with a foam roller. Next, I sealed the table using a clear hi-gloss spray sealer. Lastly, I added washi tape to the front of table using my X-acto knife.
I love the tape. It really makes it pop.

Our living room has a crisp white/black sort of feel, and I got these ADORABLE tufted chairs at a garage sale for $35/piece (SCORE!) but the legs are dark brown instead of black. I have the spray paint but over a year later I have still not painted them. Fail.
On a side note, where do you get your tape from?

Hi Daryl. I have more unfinished projects around here than I know what to do with. lol. Good luck with your chairs. $35 for chairs is awesome. I got my wash tape from Staples. But Wal-mart, Michaels, Joannes, and Hobby Lobby have a good selection too. There are some online stores too.
