Happy New Year!! Are you tried of hearing that yet? I hope not because you’ve got another 2 of new year greetings ahead of you.
Being totally transparent here, I’m not the type to make new year’s resolution. Mainly because I suck at keeping them. Like the time I gave up sodas, only to forget and have a Coke that morning for breakfast.
I just don’t believe in new year, new me. Sorry. I believe every day is a new beginning and opportunity to growth. However, even I can’t deny that there is a contagious energy that comes along with the new year. So instead of making resolutions that I know I won’t keep, I like to select a word to guide my decisions throughout the year.
Action! My Word of the Year
My word for 2015 was cleanse. 2014 was a hard year for me and left me feeling sort of jaded (You can read about that here). So I needed to take a step back, rid myself of the things that wasn’t working for me, and figure out what works best for my lifestyle. To say the least, 2015 was full of new learning experiences and self-discovery. And now that I have a plan, it time for action.

I believe our actions can bring us joy, a sense of accomplishment, or can be a source of our pain. That’s why it is important to make sure your actions and choices reflect your values. This year my focus is on taking the actions needed to promote my growth emotionally, spiritually, professionally, and physically. And the cool part is you’re invited to follow along.
