The meaning of the dragon’s eye
I started using the dragon’s eye in the Becoming Fab logo a little over 3 years ago. It’s that little isosceles triangle with the Y in the middle. Legend has it the dragon’s eye symbol can offer protection. Now, personally, I don’t know about it’s mystic abilities. It serves as a more basic reminder to me. On it’s own, a triangle is a symbol for change. It’s often used in hospital charts and research. The Y symbolizes choice and the decisions we all must make between what is right or what is wrong for us. I wholeheartedly believe in change and choice so the dragon’s eye naturally appealed to me.
It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
Albus Dumbledore
Life’s choice
Becoming Fab is all about making choices and changes that reflect your personal values. Essentially, every choice we make, wether big or small, shapes our lives. The main purpose of this site is to provide resources to encourage you to take control over your life and to provide you with guidance during times of transition and change.
“We have a choice about how we take what happens to us in our life and whether or not we allow it to turn us. We can become consumed by hate and darkness, or we’re able to regain our humanity somehow, or come to terms with things and learn something about ourselves.”
Angelina Jolie
Reclaiming your choice
The greatest thing you can do for yourself is to become actively engaged in the decisions that impact your life. When allowing others to choose for you, you give them power over you. In some cases this can lead to learned helplessness, lower self-esteem, and lower self-efficiency. Make the decision today to be a figure of authority in your life. When faced with a decision, allow your values, priorities, and morals to guide you in choosing. You only live once so create a life of abundance and purpose.
My Challenge To You
In what area of your life do you need to be more accountable? My challenge to you is to examine the choices you are making and decide if they support your values and desires. If your choices do not support your values, then identify one change you will make to better your life.
