“Your projects are so cute, I wish I had your creativity.” If only I got a dollar every time I heard this. And no I’m not bragging because hearing this makes me a little sad. Sad because the person saying this usually feels like they are not creative.
I believe we all have creativity and intelligences. We just express it in different ways and that’s a good thing.

Howard Gardner is known for his theory of multiple intelligence. Based on this theory we all have 8 intelligences endowed within us. However, some are more easily expressed than others. I agree and also believe that our dominant intelligences directly relates to our creativity.
The problem is you’ve been taught to look at intelligence in relation to your IQ and creativity in relation to your artistic abilities.
Let it be written: creative does not equal artistic
(I’m totally speaking in a medieval accent.)
