So what do you do when you go into Michael’s and the Martha Stewart paint is on sale for $1 and you get an extra 20 percent off your entire purchase. If you’re sane you probably buy one or two. However, if you’re like me, you grab one in every color and do a little happy dance in the aisle. Don’t judge, I’m a craft junky. So you can probably guess what happened next… yep, I’ve gone paint crazy over here. And one of my lucky victims is the jute planter that I made two years ago. I gave it a little update with some mint green paint.
This is a really easy project to do and it only requires jute, a can, hot glue, and paint. You’re basically wrapping jute around a can but you can find the written step by step directions here or you can just look at the pictures below.
Another cute easy project! Love it! I nominated you for a Very Inspiring Blogger award, check it out here http://www.robincharmagne.com
Thanks Robin
Girl! I think even I can handle this project! Too cute! 🙂

wow – talking about upcycling – this is sooo cute! I wouldn’t have guessed its humble origin as a peanut can! And I have some of this jute hanging around, now to dig out a can or two from the recycle bin!!! Yea!
I love this idea. This is so cute.
The jute idea is definitely creative. Thanks for sharing. I could make some for holiday decoration.
I love this! So cute and easy to make. I think I will paint the jute in Christmas colors and decorate some jars for candy canes.
