Hi guys!!!
I’ve been up to something crafty 🙂 I’m so excited to show you the yarn mandala I made for my dining room. I think its kind of awesome. It’s okay if you think that too.
So I first came across mandalas while watching the movie Wanderlust…BTW that movie is hilarious. After watching it, I did some goggling and came across this tutorial by the super wonderful Jay Mohler. Seriously, he is such an inspiration. I really loved the colors and style of the mandala in the tut so I let it serve as my model for this project.

After hours and hours of yarn wrapping, here is the awesome mandala that I created. It is 36 inches in length and is made up of 4 sticks to create a circular shape. I love it!!!

I think it is the perfect addition to our dinning room. It ties together nicely with the colors of the table runner that I made a couple of months ago. And it highlights the heigh of the ceilings amazingly. Plus, every time I pass it I smile a little.
So…what do you think? Totally pin-worthy, right?
That is gorgeous! And took some serious talent. I’m pinning it. Not because I think I can do it but just because I think it’s so pretty.:-) And it matches my home decor!
Aww thanks Kathy.
The colors are fantastic. The design is incredible. I’d love to try this.
