The quickest road to low esteem starts at the intersection of helplessness and indecision. The most important thing you can do for yourself is to become actively engaged in your life and stop letting others control you.
Say it with me… The most important thing I can do for myself is to become actively engaged in my life and stop letting others control me.
When you allow others to control you it gives them your power. And what will you get in return?A sense of helplessness, dependence, and lower self-esteem. When you allow others to dictate your life, it prohibits your mental and spiritual growth. You become stuck. Have your ever been physically stuck someone where before? It’s not a fun feeling.
Regaining control over your life and becoming the figure of authority in your life is the greatest gift you can give yourself. Yes, it can be scary but it worth it. Get involved in the decisions that impact your life. Get focused, take action, and be mindful of how you feel.
Stop acting others to decide for you and start trusting yourself. It’s okay to ask for guidance when needed but the decisions you make should be your own.

100% agree with this! Great advice… it’s hard to take control. I still struggle with this every day. I have a hard time making decisions, so I ask everyone for their advice, and then I just end up confused :/ Part of it is trusting that you are smart enough to know what’s best for you.

I agree Kristen. Trusting yourself plays a major part in taking control of your life.
