An old bar cart is one of the coolest things a person can have in their home. They are flexible in use and come in some very awesome colors. Over the last two years a rusty old bar cart has been sitting on my patio. At first it was a plant stand then it sort of became useless junk that was cluttering up the back yard. It belonged to my grandmother so throwing it away wasn’t an option. Instead I decided to give it a little TLC and bring it back into the house.
How I Restyled This Bar Cart
Here is what it looked like before. Years before I received it, it was spray painted black. All and all it was in pretty good condition. I sanded the old paint and spray painted it in Rust-Oleum Hammered Gold Spray Paint. After drying I bought it into the house and freaking thing blended right in with the sofa. (Not good) So I rolled it back out and painstakingly wrapped the wheel in painter’s tape (again). This time I used the Rust-Oleum spray paint in Lagoon. I left the top shelf in the gold color.
I love the way it came out. It is funny how sometimes mistakes turn into something absolutely fabulous. And since this cart is being used as an end table, I added a lamp, a couple of knickknacks, two books, and some homemade projects…like the “tray” and the picture. Curious as to how I made them. Check back in tomorrow.

Hey, BLM Girl! I love the layout of your blog. I am not a DIY so this project would probably not turn out as lovely as your cart did. Adding you to my BLM list on Bloglovin’
